Our History
HAP'S Beer Parlor has been in existence since 1935 and is one of the original bars in Helena, Montana.
Hap Schneider was the original owner, owning the bar from 1935-1941. Second, George Schneider and Tony Bielen from 1935-1974. Don Lytle owned the bar from 1974-2020.
Train Depot
HAP'S is located across from Helena Historic Train Depot. HAP'S became a popular stop for travelers and locals alike when trains were a dominant way of transportation
Horseshoes & Celebrations
HAP'S Bar patrons enjoy friendly games of horseshoe. A horseshoe pit is located outside the back of the bar.
People can bring food into the bar as barbeques are frequent during horseshoe season.
